Meet Minh Ngo, LPC-Associate
supervised by Kiki McCray, LPC-S
warm therapist, honest conversations,
zero judgement.
I help eldest and parentified daughters with high-functioning anxiety stop carrying everyone else’s needs so they can understand and trust their own.
You’ve built a life you can handle. I want to help you build one you don’t have to constantly manage.
You’re probably really good at looking calm while your brain is running through seventeen different scenarios.
You reread the text before you send it. Replay the conversation afterward. Prepare for things that haven’t happened yet. You notice the slightest change in someone’s tone and immediately wonder if you did something wrong. And even when things are going well, part of you is waiting for the other shoe to drop.
The hard part is, your anxiety has probably helped you become really good at life. You’re prepared. Responsible. Thoughtful. You get things done. People trust you because you rarely let things fall through the cracks.
But being the person who can handle everything gets exhausting when you never feel like you can fully let your guard down.
I’m not here to take away the ambitious, caring, capable parts of you. I want to help you get to a place where those parts of you aren’t being powered by fear.
Where you can still care deeply, work hard, and want big things for yourself without anxiety having to come along for the ride.
You don’t need another person telling you to “just relax.”
I specialize in working with eldest and parentified daughters with high-functioning anxiety. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, I work with women who are used to being the responsible one but are exhausted by overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, hyper-independence, and feeling responsible for everyone around them.
Our work goes beyond knowing why you do something. We’ll explore where these patterns came from, what they’ve been protecting you from, and how early relational and attachment wounds may still be showing up in your life and relationships.
My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and attachment-based therapy, with a relational, trauma-informed lens. I offer online therapy for women across Texas.
We’re not trying to get rid of the thoughtful, ambitious, responsible parts of you. We’re helping them learn they don’t have to work so hard to keep you safe.
My Approach
Therapy with me is…
-
We’ll pay attention to how your early relationships shaped the way you connect, protect yourself, ask for what you need, and respond when closeness doesn’t feel completely safe.
-
We’re not here to criticize the patterns you’ve picked up. We’ll get curious about why they’re there and what they’ve been doing for you.
-
You might already know why you are the way you are. We’ll go beyond understanding your patterns and work toward actually changing them.
-
We’ll hype you up, sit with you when things are hard, and lovingly call you out when we notice something worth looking at.
Get the right support for you.
