Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for a portion of your therapy costs.
To make this process easier, I offer Thrizer, a tool that helps you understand and use your out-of-network benefits.
With Thrizer, you can:
Check your benefits and estimated costs before beginning therapy.
See what you may actually pay per session based on your specific insurance plan.
Use your out-of-network benefits with less paperwork: Thrizer can handle claim submission and follow-up with your insurance company.
Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed and ultimately depends on your individual plan and coverage.
If you prefer, you can also choose to pay for sessions directly and submit a superbill to your insurance company yourself.
Use the Thrizer calculator below to check your benefits and get an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of each session. I accept credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that life happens and sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes of course! If you have out-of-network insurance benefits, you are welcome to use them.
I am happy to submit claims on your behalf (via a company called Thrizer) or provide you with a monthly superbill, so you can coordinate with your insurance company directly.
-
If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will typically reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session after you’ve met your deductible.
Use This Calculator to get an instant estimate of your OON coverage, including your deductible and amount remaining on deductible, as well as an estimated reimbursement amount post-deductible.
I’d also be happy to check your benefits for you! Just make sure to have your insurance card handy, with your Member ID, during our free intro call.
Or if you prefer, you can confirm the benefits of your health insurance plan with your insurance provider directly. However, I highly recommend using Thrizer’s Free benefits calculator to save you time and energy!

Insurance companies restrict the number of sessions you can have, require a diagnosis to justify your care, and dictate which treatments are covered. This is very limiting to your treatment and care.
By staying private pay, your treatment isn't shaped by what an insurance company decides is necessary. No arbitrary session limits. No required diagnosis on your record. No restrictions on the type of care we use. Just therapy built around what you actually need.

Payment is due at the time of each session. I accept all major debit and credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and online payments through my secure client portal.
-
Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 15 minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:
I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy
I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist
You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover
We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.

Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. We have two options:
I partner with a company, Thrizer, who can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf for a small fee. After you meet your deductible, you can decide whether or not you want to pay for our sessions in full. You have the option to either pay in full and wait for reimbursement or simply pay your co-insurance. Thrizer can cover the rest of our session cost for you while they wait for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Or if you prefer to deal with your insurance company yourself, I will provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
We can discuss these options in more detail on an intro call and see what works best for you!

My practice is fully virtual, which offers the privacy and flexibility that many clients need. Sessions are held through a secure, confidential video platform, with phone sessions available upon request.
Virtual therapy is conducted similarly to in-person meetings but eliminate travel time, making it easier for you to fit therapy into your busy schedule. Whether you're at home, in the office, or traveling, therapy can be conveniently integrated into your day.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum, safety, and consistency. As you start feeling more grounded, we may move to biweekly sessions depending on your goals and what feels supportive.
-
If a client cancels with less than 24 hours' notice or fails to arrive within the first 15 minutes of their session, they will incur a charge for the full session fee. This policy is standard within the mental health field and acknowledges that the client is not only paying for the services rendered but also for reserving a time slot, which cannot be offered to someone else on short notice.

There is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients experience noticeable progress in 3–6 months, while others choose to continue longer-term for deeper exploration and ongoing support. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and needs as we go.
